Emerald Ash Borer Update for PA - June 2013

I wanted to share with you the current status of the Emerald Ash Borer in PA. Forest County was the newest detection added to the club of infestations. We have only detected it in a small location in Bucks Co for southeast PA. But as you can see it is marching its way closer each year. Attached is an updated county map of PA showing the infested counties and the year emerald ash borer (EAB) was first detected in a particular county. Please note, the year of detection does not mean the year the county was originally infested. For example, it was determined that the original detection in PA in 2007 in Butler County was actually infested in 1999 or 2000.
