Request for proposals for Pottstown Regional Parks Mini-Grant Program

The Pottstown Metropolitan Regional Planning Committee (PMRPC) and the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation (PAHWF), with grant support from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), are working together to promote Parks and Recreation in the eight municipal area of the Pottstown Region. A mini-grant program, with eight grants of up to $25,000 each, will be awarded to municipalities in the Pottstown Metropolitan Region to help fund park improvements that promote recreation and especially amenities noted in the Penn State Study.

Emerald Ash Borer Update for PA - June 2013

I wanted to share with you the current status of the Emerald Ash Borer in PA. Forest County was the newest detection added to the club of infestations. We have only detected it in a small location in Bucks Co for southeast PA. But as you can see it is marching its way closer each year. Attached is an updated county map of PA showing the infested counties and the year emerald ash borer (EAB) was first detected in a particular county. Please note, the year of detection does not mean the year the county was originally infested. For example, it was determined that the original detection in PA in 2007 in Butler County was actually infested in 1999 or 2000.
